Hi, blogs!!

I'm still on my holiday mode! Woooottt! I'm on fire! Yas!

Today is my day 3 to play as the tourist in Jakarta. After met my college friends last night, I met my friend from my college again, Diana. Diana is a kind smart friend and a good companion for me! We arranged an appointment after didn't meet for about a year (Yeah, I was at Lampung) and I was so impatient to meet her! She always has and brings the good stories and news (I'd like to say that was a gossip. Lol). And also... I always enthusiast to hear her story and wonder like what she's going to bring up today. Hahaha.

Diana and I made an appointment at Hario Cafe, new Japanese coffee shop at Jakarta. Coincidentally before we ended up to make an appointment there, I'd love to stalk this coffee shop before, feel attracted to try their foods and beverages, and already made a list to the place that I want to visit when I'm at Jakarta. And what makes it more coincidence is... The fact is the owner of this coffee shop is her friend. Then, she asked me if I would like to visit and have a lunch at Hario Cafe because she says they have an interesting delicious menu (This is true! You can see my review of their food and beverages on below, you know I'm not lying. I don't like lying! :))). Of course! I'd love to! Why not???

The Interior

Hario Cafe has a minimalist concept as its interior. Fewer ornaments and play with marble and wood, and also wire mesh as the accent of the interior. I felt the modern, cold, and minimalist space at the same time. Hot coffee to make it warmer? :))

Experience Bar

Hario cafe has an experience bar inside where (maybe) the visitor can see and experience how to make a coffee with the v60 method, nitro method, manual brew, or the else. But, I didn't experience this because at that time was no activity in that bar area. Maybe in the next chance? :)) OH! You can buy the tools and coffee machine here too, coffee maker lovers!

 Modern Japanese Coffee Shop
" I love how they play the interior with the bricks
which look vintage and modern at the same time."

Open from 7.30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Hario cafe has breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus on their menu. So, there are an appetizer, finger bites, main course, beverages, croissant, and etc. A lot menu to try! Because of 2 stomachs couldn't be enough for all their menus. We would have a proper lunch. :))

Her Menu, Marinated Pulled Pork Burger (85k)
"This is so good! I'm so full and satisfied!
The egg yolk is perfect and the seasoned french fries is so savory!

My Choice, Bao with Chicken Katsu (58k)
"I love the chicken katsu taste. It's so savory!
The outer skin of bao is not too soft, kinda dry.
But, the dough of bao is sweet enough and so good with the chicken katsu.

"To eat this is kinda difficult for me.
I don't know if I should eat with my hands and put it to my mouth (not fit) or I should cut this into a pieces then eat it (the whole taste between bao, chicken katsu, and katsuobushi have not come together."

Her Choice, Cold Brewed Tea (35k)
"The taste of tea is so unique and fresh! For me, this is so recommended!
The flavor is light and sweet!"

My Choice, Iced Caramel Latte (40k)
"As usual, Caramel Latte is never made me disappointed. :)"

Summer holiday is not completed without an ice cream, Isn't it? Don't you agree?

OH! That time was so hot and what we need was just an ice cream in this summer vibes. Hario cafe has a soft serve ice cream which is for me is kinda affordable and worthy because of the flavor and the great taste! Moreover, the flavor of the ice cream is different periodically which makes me curious and want to try it personally. It's like... "Ahh... What I'm gonna have today? What's that.... and What I will have in the next time?"

Then we asked the waitress with the bouncing heart. Lol. "What we gonna have today?" "It's pistachio miss." Wow. Okay! I love that! "We ordered two, please!"

Pistachio Soft Serve Ice Cream (18k)
"OH Mai! Who doesn't love ice cream? This is so good.
Sweet and the flavor of pistachio is so sweet!"

"The feeling of eating ice cream in the summer holiday is so good, guys! :')
Everything feels sweet and so fine! Lol. Love it love it love it!"

Hmmm... How would I rate Hario Cafe?

I will give 3/5 for the food and beverages. The foods and beverages are so far so good (just good) but it based on the menus that we chose. I don't know about the other menus.

I will give 4.5/5 for the service. The waitresses are good and friendly. Quick respond to what I asked for. Thank you!

I will give 3.8/5 for the price. It's worthy somehow for me. You should visit and try it, guys!

Hario Cafe's Location

Okay, guys! That's it... My quick review and my quick day 3 to play as the tourist at the Hario Cafe! The soul is so on fire for this holiday but the body needs to rest due to the road trip last 2 days. :') That's why... I ended up my day 3 quickly. But the other activities will be up tomorrow and the other next days. And... The more important is today is a good day! Hope your soul is still on fire too at this summer holiday, guys!

And... Thank you guys for reading! Hope you enjoy it! Stay tuned on How I play as the tourist at Jakarta. I will bring up many reviews and share my holiday experiences visiting the cafes and interesting places in Jakarta!

See you in My day 4 play as the tourist!!

Hi, blogs!

Back to my blog! Still on my holiday's story and this one is the day 2 to play as the tourist! Yasss!!

What do you do if you are a tourist and do the local people's things, guys? Cook? Playing? Listening to the local music? Get in touch with the local? Or... Maybe cut the hair? Like me? Yeah, I've just decided to cut my hair before I go back to the office. New looks, new fresh start, and a new spirit to make me work harder (sorry, it's just an excuse). Lol.

Anyway... Cut the chit-chat... After got my hair done, I had an appointment with my college friends. Yes, long time no see! Such a long time not been in Jakarta, I put everything about culinary to my friend's hands. I didn't know a lot about the food trending and new best restaurant or coffee shop in Jakarta. Then... After a short research, my friend recommended this place to us, Warbiku. What's that?

Warbiku is a new restaurant which serves Indomie (famous instant noodle in Indonesia) with pork. What? Pork? How it will taste? Remembered there's no one like this before so this one is a must to try! Located on Muara Karang in North Jakarta, this restaurant is easy to find because of it's on the culinary area.

Industrial Concept

Pork? Yes, It means the foods are not halal (just FYI), guys! There are 2 main courses at Warbiku that attracted us to order and try it. The first one is Salted Egg Yolk Pork Rice and the second is Pork Indomie with Sambal Matah. Nomsssss...

Egg Salted Yolk Pork Rice (45k)
" The sauce is so damn so good. It's so fine!
The porks are so tender
and it's a perfect combination with the fried egg."

Pork Indomie (45k)
"Who doesn't know the tastiness of Indomie?
For me, Indomie is always savory! Don't you agree?
In this one, the porks are so tender too! And the Sambal Matah is so right.
Everything is in the perfect combination! 45 k for me is affordable for this dishes."

Soda Cap Badak (15k)
"The flavor is same as Sarsi (the other soda that famous when I was on my JHS) for me.
But, they said this soda is more before than that. Is it?
Yaaa... This is good as the other soda. "

That's it, guys! My very quick review for Warbiku. Overall, it's good! And, I'll come back again in the next chance, just because the pork is so tender and so good in the mouth. And... I'll come back to if I'm too lazy to cook Indomie. Lol. How I would rate this Warbiku? 4/5 for the savory, 3.5/5 for the price and 3.5/5 for the service.

Warbiku's Location

Thank you, guys! For reading this quick review of Warbiku. I hope you enjoy it and have a wonderful holiday as me! Lol! There are still 12 days more ahead! More exciting activity is waiting!

See you in the next post, guys!
Where I'll go in Day 3?

Hi, blogs!

Where are you going to on your holiday? Island? Mountain? City? Where ever it is, I hope you will have a nice holiday!

Me on my holiday? Hmmm... I'm going home, guys! I Mudik (going home, where you've been born or grown up) to Jakarta. I really miss my home so much! But... Not as usual when I was at home, I'll play as the tourist in Jakarta. Trying the culinary, doing the activities, and visit the great places like the tourist who've never been in Jakarta. I think, it gonna be fun! Yasss!!

For Mudik from Lampung to Jakarta, I had the road trip with my relatives. It took about 2 hours from Bandar Lampung to Bakauheni Port by the car. I was so surprised in the way! The street was better than my last trip, the road was fine therefore our trip was so smooth! Moreover, the toll's infrastructure almost done and some ways of it we can access it already. Unfortunately, because of the unknown of this information, we couldn't try the new toll. :(( But, I could give the two thumbs up to our government for this fast working to our infrastructure in Indonesia! :))

After about 2 hours on the way, we arrived at the port! Not waiting too long (about 15 minutes), we're ready to enter the ferry ship. Not like my trip 10 years ago when we should wait for about 1-3 hours to enter the ship and a direct enter if you're lucky enough! :') So, I can say now is much much much better!

We were so happy when we saw the big ferry ship in front of us. We were wondering what's inside and what it would be...

Taaa-daaaa!! Athaya Jakarta!

Spacious Parking Area

Warning!

All of the passengers are prohibited to stay in the vehicles, smoking, and turn on the engine! Remembered, there was an incident on the ferry ship. In the parking area, there had an explosion because of turning on the engine. I deplored that incident. That's why... We should be in the passenger room now...

What the...? What is this?
Escalator?

At the first, I couldn't trust this. I thought it just a misspelled or just a word to impress passenger. Oh maiii...! That's true! There's an escalator inside! :') I was so impressed just because of the escalator. No wonder. I thought it's only the cruise ship which has the escalator inside. But, I'm wrong! Now, from Bakauheni Port to Merak Port or the otherwise, they have this! Hahaha SO YASSSS!!

The Escalator!
Am I the only one who thinks this scene is like in the Titanic scene?
I mean, the settings...

The Lobby

Yes, this ship is the old ship. I think this ship was made in 1994 in Japan because there's the painting on above which has a mark 'Japan, 1994' on it. Old ferry ship, antique interior, and antique feeling. Even it's 14 years old ship (If I'm right), It still has a good condition and has an interesting spot inside. And of course, It's cleaner than the ferry ships that I've already taken before. Yay or Nay?

The Corridor to Passenger's Waiting Room

Passenger's Waiting Room

It's so clean, guys! Yasss... This is the VIP Passenger's waiting room where we should pay if we want to stay in this room, 10k rupiahs for the adult and 5k rupiahs for the child. What do you think? For me, It's so affordable to get this facility! Or... You can stay free in the others rooms (Lesehan room). And... All of the rooms have the TV and air conditioner inside where we could watch together (Nobar) comfortably. Moreover, the movie of that day is Resident Evil 6, guys! Don't you think it's quite up to date too? :))

Now, Let's look the outside...

Good Voyage!

Yayyy! That's the end of this ship's quick tour! What do you think? It's good, isn't it? I think it's one of the forward steps of our government in the transportation field. I'm quite satisfied with this 'luxury' ferry ship and feel appreciated by the government who want us to have a good Mudik experience! May you can take and try this experience on this ferry ship too, guys! It's fun to explore!

It took about 2 hours too from Bakauheni Port to Merak Port. After strolled around and watch the ending part of Resident Evil, we went back to our car and continued the trip. And... I took about A half and an hour to arrive at BSD, our road trip done then!

Thank you, guys! For reading this article! Hope you enjoy it and can share your holiday experience too with me in the comment box below! Happy holiday, guys!

See you in the next post!!
I'll share my Day 2 as the tourist too!!
