- HUMAN EYES DIARY -

Having a holiday at Lampung won't complete without doing culinary things. Even Lampung doesn't have any specific food, but Lampung has a taste that you won't find it on anywhere else. You just can taste this at Lampung! Yaaa... Should I call it Lampung taste? Lol.

Had accompanied my friends on their last day trip ( day 3 ) at Lampung, They asked me for the best recommendation food to eat at here. Even I only have been here for 5 months, I convinced with this 5 foods by its taste that I've never found it at Jakarta. Thought, my friends agree with this. Right my friends? Lol.

Here we are,
5 things that you must eat or drink if you only have 8 hours at Lampung!!

1. Padang Foods at Begadang Restaurant

It seems a common if we talked about Padang foods. We can find Padang foods anywhere easily. But not the taste! In Begadang restaurant, we can have their specialty menu. Those are ' Ayam Pop ' and ' Ayam Telur ' which I recommend as one of 5 you must eat at Lampung. How should I describe it? It's difficult to describe the taste, but I'm totally into it! You just should try! Lol.

What is Ayam Pop? Ayam Pop is a chicken which was smeared by coconut milk and was fried dry. Yummy...  Then, what is Ayam Telur? Ayam Telur is a chicken was smeared by eggs and was fried. Yummy... Which one you'd prefer? Yummy...

Padang is always a good companion for me

2. Pempek 88

Pempek... Pempek is a food which has known well as Palembang's specialty food. So, why must Lampung not Palembang? The first reason is I'm at Lampung now. Lol. The second reason is... Sorry to say, I'd prefer Lampung's Pempek to Palembang. And... Sorry to say, it depends on taste and preference. And I'll recommend Pempek 88 as the best Pempek for me at Lampung. I've already been at Palembang before, but Pempek 88 is still the one which suits me well.

Pempek 88 is known as ' Pempek Ikan Belida '. They wouldn't sell Pempek if Ikan Belida sold out or not in the market. They keep the consistency of the taste. That consistency what made the price is quite high. But, won't make you disappointed you by its taste. :)) So, will you try?

3. Bakmi Asang

As we can see on foodie apps rate, Bakmi Asang has 4,5/5 stars for its taste. After saw that, we decided to taste this place. They have Bakmi, Bihun, Kwetiau, Locupan, and Pangsit. For me, Bakmi Asang is a good place to have a breakfast. The portion is not too big, so it suits the breakfast well. Honestly, the taste is so-so. I couldn't say wow neither bad. But, I'll recommend this because while I said so-so, my friends said tasty. So, it's still okay to try this restaurant and recommend it! Maybe our tastebud is different? Lol.

4. EL'S COFFEE

El's Coffee is a well-known cafe at Lampung. El's coffee has many branches. But, I'll recommend you to go to El's Coffee House at Teluk Betung, remembered it's their base. It means the menu is complete and you can try everything from the main course, coffee, and dessert. Nyummy...

Every place always has their specialty. And... El's coffee has that. There's coffee which made me fall in love and keep coming back.  That is Mochatella. What is Mochatella? Mochatella is a coffee which has a unique serving. The coffee is formed into an ice cube and serves with the milk and chocolate.  The taste is so unique! And... The strength of coffee will be taste more along with the melting. So... So... Good! I really love this recipe! Lol.

5. NASI BAKAR LG

As may you know, Nasi Bakar is a common food too in Indonesia. We can find it anywhere easily. So, what is Nasi Bakar? Nasi means rice in English. Bakar means grilled in English. Grilled rice? Yaaa.. But we grilled it on the fire charcoal. So, what's the difference LG's Nasi Bakar with the others? It's on their seasoning and the vegetable which make a good flavor. The price is quite high for me, but it's worthed because the portion is big enough.

So, that is it... My recommendation for what you must eat at Lampung if you only have 8 hours to do culinary things. Rather than confuse to choose what to eat, it's better to eat on this 5 place! Like my friends. Lol. They really love it! That's why I write this post, to make you feel and taste the same as like them. :)) Yuhuu...

See you on the next post blogs!

Hopping the islands in Lampung was never enough if only was spent on one day. Day 2 was a must! Not less adventurous than day 1, day 2 was more thrilling. Everything began when I woke up at 6 in the morning and opened the doors. Breathed the fresh air, heard the wave's sound, and saw the children were playing and laughing on the beach were great moments that I got on my first schedule. The moments that I couldn't enjoy when I was in the city. Thought, I need something just like this once in 4 months. :))

Too early to take a shower and too good to skip the snorkeling time, but it's not too cold and fresh to feel the deep sea. Our first snorkeling's spot on day 2 was near at our homestay, Pahawang. Good for tasting the water in the morning, but in this our first spot is not too good for snorkeling. There were so many people who snorkeled at that time. I felt like I was at the swimming pool. Honestly, the spot is not too good too. There were just a few of fishes and just name sculptures of Pahawang. I don't recommend this spot to snorkel. That's why there's no photo on this spot. I'm sorry :)) So, let's move to the next spot!

1. Cukuh Bedil

Needed more excitement than yesterday, we asked the best spot to snorkel. Then, the guide took us to this spot, Cukul Bedil. I admit this spot is the best spot ever for snorkeling in this trip! The sea was so clear and deep. Even we could saw the coral reefs and many fishes clearly from the ship. We could see everything from above. At that time, I just wanted to dive in immediately. So impatience! Until... We could spot the local was on a kayak! We were getting more excited. Felt it's just not enough with 'only' snorkeling, we wanted the kayak too! Lol. So we lent it. Yasss!!

Just for two, in the middle of nowhere!

Two seats, one paddle. Weird? Yas, that's why we only used it only for having fun and took some photos. Some? Of course a lot! This kayak was so cute and it's getting more thrilling when it moved. We must keep our balance if we didn't want to fall, remembered it just had one paddle. Lol.

Kayak, Kayak, Kayak!

Really love this photo in the first time, but it's kinda annoying if I zoom in this photo. Spot anyone? Spot Anin? Her face was like envy while I was on the kayak. "Waited your turn nin!" Lol.

Under The Sea

Yass.. This is what I'm talking about! There were so many fishes. Coincidentally, this fish's type was a lot at that time. So, mostly the captured photo had shown a lot of this fish. Even actually, there were many types of fish under the deep blue sea. From the blue one, the white one, and the red one. Even I found the dory!

The fishes were looking for me!

The fishes were looking for me! I don't know why. When I went into the sea, this kind of fishes was like 'kiss' or 'eat' my arms and legs. It was like they really loved and missed me or thought I was their food. It's between I was a mermaid or fish's food. Lol. Whatever their thoughts, I really loved them. It felt like I united with the sea nature and universe. Lol.  Aren't they cute? :)

Were we on the sea or at the fish massage therapy? Lol. They ate our feets!

Anin and Her friends.

Anin and her friends. Anin and her habitat. Anin and her comfort zone. Anin looked so happy. Anin felt happy under the beneath of sun. Anin was happy. And I felt so happy while I looked on this photo. Because Anin looked so happy! :)) Let's travel again!

Under The Deep Blue Sea

There's a story behind the photo. There's something behind the story. I'd love to share that something behind of this photo with you, blogs. It's not easy to take this photo. It needed a courage.

In this photo, we couldn't spot the life jacket right? Why? Because, until that moment I just have realized that actually, I could swim! What a fool am I for this long time! On day 1, I was so afraid to dive in and kept having the life jacket on me. I played safely, rather than took a risk. On day 1, I couldn't take a few of photos under the sea because I couldn't take off the jacket. So sad! On our last day of snorkeling, the guide asked 4 of us to take some videos under the sea. Didn't want to make my friends disappointed, I collected my courage to take off the jacket to save this memorable moment. What a fool of me! After I took of it, I was floating! I just knew at that time! I could swim! Lol! What a shame! Then, we laugh together! Such as memorable! Now I'm not afraid anymore with the sea. I'm ready to explore the underwater more and more!

I've heard this quote before, " You will never know that you are a bird or a chicken if you never try to fly. So who are you? " This is so true! This quote is quite influencing me while I'm going to take a decision. If you are not brave enough to take a step, you won't know what road will take you. That will make you stuck in your place right now, or I could call it as 'comfort zone'?  Know that, it's not easy to collect the courage and make the decision that will change a whole life. That's why you need a right person who will always beside you and make you brave enough. Why need a person? It's like there's no trigger if you're alone, right? Everything that around you less or more has influenced your life. Why a right person? Because when it's the wrong person, he or she wouldn't be able to accompany you. Depends on that person? Of course not. She just the one who 'gives', and you're the only one who decides to take. It's like me. I believe I couldn't swim and I don't want to take a risk. Until my swimmer friends said that they would hold me and I thought this was the last time. That's it... I'm a bird no a chicken! :)) So who are you? I hope you will find your identity and the right person.

2. Big Kelagian Island // Pulau Kelagian Besar

Had snorkeled for 4 hours on that 2 spots was our last snorkeling time. Last snorkeling but not the last schedule. There were still 2 islands that we would explore. One of both was Big Kelagian Island. It's different from Kelagian Lunik, this was the bigger island around that.

Pulau Kelagian Besar

It's crowded at that time. Bigger and crowder. Kelagian besar was good, but just good no more or less. It's just ordinary island. But, there was one attraction where we could get a good picture on there. The attraction was a swing. Have known the famous swing at Gili? Never go there? This swing was no bad laa. Looked alike! Lol.

3. Mahitam Island // Pulau Mahitam

Didn't want to skip our last island, Mahitam island. We moved to the next spot immediately after took some photos at Kelagian. Lol. If you know what I mean... I don't like the crowd. Nay! Here we go, Mahitam Island! My favorite island in this trip! Wuhu...

Mahitam Island from Far

So excited when looked this island from far. So tropical! Don't you agree? Coincidentally, when we went to the island, there were not many people. It's like a desert island in the movie or the game 'sims castaway'. Clearwater, white sand, and coconut trees. Wuhuuu... The uniqueness of this spot is the sand connector between the islands. I felt we crossed the sea which divides into two. Mahitam island is connected to the other unknown island. We can access the path only at low tide time. The path will be disappeared when it's an up tide time. Unfortunately or fortunately, the half of the path already filled by the sea water when we were there. We arrived at 2.30 p.m.,. , so it made sense. They said, the path would be filled and disappeared at 4p.m. The depth of the sea was not jokes. We only could play at the shore, not the sea. Because we couldn't know the exact depth of each spot. Except, you could swim! Ahh I forgot, I can swim! Hihihi.

There's No Ending
- There's no ending, even we die -

Go to the somewhere that you loved, every road will bring you.

Last Wefie on our last island's schedule

Testimony from us, this trip was so exciting and thrilling! Spoil our eyes, freshen our breath, please our ears, thrilling our hearts, and give the memorable moment. This trip is suitable for someone who needs a sweet escape. Short in time but it's worthed!

Last but not least... Back to ship... Let's get some culinary before my friends go back to Jakarta on day 3! See you on the day 3 post! Ready to droll!

Since when I loved traveling?
Since I was amazed by God's creature

Hello, blogs!

Love from Lampung!

My lovely country is never failing to make me mesmerized by its beauty, Indonesia. For this time, I  had a chance to explore more its beauty because of the unexpected coming of my friends. Wuhuuu. Actually, I already knew about their coming. But every thing was planned so fast, that's why I called it unexpected coming. Yayy. Due the national holiday, they decided to spend their holiday by hopping Lampung islands. Why Lampung? The first ideas were simple. Snorkeling, underwater activities, and me. So, the result was Lampung islands. Easy! Lol. Thanks friends, just by your decision I could manage to explore the other islands of Indonesia. Yayy.. In this post, I'd love to share the excitement and the nonmainstream beauty to you... From Lampung!

Beauty seekers, let's move closer! Here we go, our  Day 1.

Dermaga Ketapang 4, Our Meeting Point

We decided to use local travel service on this trip because of the busy schedule that we wanted and planned. We wanted to hop the islands and snorkeling in many spots which didn't waste the time. We. That's why we thought 2D1N trip was the best choice for our trip that saved our time by staying on their homestay. This trip was a private trip that I could call it as 'lux-private trip' because of the lack of persons who came along :') It's like we booked a ship with capacity 15 persons just for us. If only... If only there are more persons, it would be cheaper though :') Cheaper... Cheaper.. Cheaper... Forget that money though! *Slap. Lol. Forget it blogs, I'm just kidding.

The meeting point was at Dermaga Ketapang 4, Lampung. It was located in the south shore area, but near by the city. It just took about 30 minutes from Teluk Betung (city) to there. Near-Far. There's no public transportation such as public bus or taxi to get there. So, it's better if you already plan what will you get on to there.

Before I continue my story, let me introduce you my friends. From the left, Ricky (Angel's boyfriend), Angel, and Anin. They are my college-friends who turn into one of the best my life-friends. :)) Okay! Now, Let's sailing!

We-fie is never going wrong!
When our skin was still fair. The burning one is coming soon!

Our Ship

This is our ship. Yass... It's big enough for 4 persons. Our first schedule is snorkeling at Pahawang and its nemo's park. Before that, we checked in at our homestay which base in Pahawang island first, then had a lunch. Our homestay is a quite traditional style home. Made from wood, natural ventilation, and of course, It's Lampung-style. I satisfied enough with the homestay. There were just a few mosquitoes and insects. That's not like what I heard and read on media social which said they were on the squad and annoyed a lot. Hmm.. No... Or... Maybe, my mosquito lotion worked so well that there's no one had bit me. I used Sofell-orange flavor anyway. Lol.

1. PAHAWANG ISLAND AND NEMO'S PARK // PULAU PAHAWANG DAN TAMAN NEMO

This was me before I gave up to be drowned.

It's hard to get this photo position because I couldn't dive in fact. They (the local guides) gave a big effort to me just to get this shot. Lol. I really love the beach and underwater activities. I always want to learn diving, but it's hard for me to find the right time. :') Plus, the hecticness as the city-person already has killed my time recently. Hope in my next trip, I already could dive! That's my next goal though! Yassss!

Pahawang, Our first spot

They called it Nemo's Park. Where is Dory's Park? I want to find Dory.
How poor is she right? :')

I really really envy with this girl. She is like an aquatic girl? Underwater girl? Mermaid girl? She just needs her swimming glasses and a deep breath, done! There she got! She got the nemos! Envy! I saw them too, but I couldn't have a chance to take a photo with the nemos! :') That's why I decided to find out Dory. See ya, Nemo! However...

The water is so clear. What the camera took was same as what we saw. Clear! We could play with the fishes too! Even, there's a time that the fishes thought maybe I was their food. They swarmed me and 'poke' me? Lol. Of course, I got very very little scars! But, they're so cute!! So, I don't mind! Lol

2. PASIR TIMBUL ISLAND // PASIR TIMBUL

Pasir Timbul

Pasir Timbul. Pasir in Indonesian means sands. Timbul in Indonesian means surface or float to the surface. As mean as its name, some part of the islands has the sands which float to the surface. When we saw the butt end of the sand, it's endlessly the sea. It made us as if walk in between the sea. So beautiful!

Walk to the sea as if we don't fear anything

Besides of the sands, the sea water was so amazing too! The water is so clear so I could see the sea creatures in the near shore. And... This spot gave us the island's vibes that made us so energetic and excited on this trip. Wuhuu. Thanks to Mas Mamat (our guide, our guardian, our photographer), the photos were so great. Hihihi.

Enough with the photos, let's get the water sport!

What's your water sport? Me? Besides of snorkeling, diving, and banana boats, I had never tried some. So, this is my first time. . The donut! What is it? It's kinda a balloon-boat which has the same look as a donut. It can take 4 persons on it. How to play? In the front of this donut, there's speed boat which will pull it at full speed to the ocean. Full speed! Better strengthen your grip or you'll be thrown away so far-far away. Lol.

The craziest thing ever in this scene was when Mas Mamat used my camera (Sony alpha 6000 which is mirrorless and not seawater proof, even waterproof!) to take photos on us. You know what? At that time I wasn't afraid if I had thrown away from the boat, I was just praying for the safety of my camera :') Oh Mas Mamat! Please don't do that again! But, thank you for this shot. Love this!

3. KELAGIAN LUNIK ISLAND //  PULAU KELAGIAN LUNIK

After snorkeled and played around more than 5 hours (12 p.m. to 5.30 p.m.), It was time to chase the sunset. Therefore, Mas Mamat took us to the other island which had the best view to look the sunset (we should consider the west). It wouldn't be a perfect beach holiday if we couldn't get the great sunset, right? Here we go, Kelagian Lunik Island!

Before The Sun Goes Down

Kelagian Lunik Island

The Sunset

Lucky enough that we arrived at the right time at this island. We still could chase the sunset before it was going down. The clear skies made a clear sunset's look. The sunlight made the shade of its light perfectly on the clear water. This is so island's vibes. You know what? There's nothing better in this moment.

Be Grateful

I found this as a dramatic shot, that's why I want to post it. That was me in this photo. I don't know why I posed like that at that time, but somehow I love this photo. What do you think? This photo was taken by my friend, Anin. Yass, she used some setting to make it looked great. What setting did she use? Hmm... Just the white balance guys! Yaa, I admit that she's quite talented photographer. For me, she has a unique angle which has some emotions. She's into it! (Nin, you should give me treats after this. I made you good in this post. Lol. Just kidding, you're really good.) Almost all of the photos of me was taken by her. So, it's so fortunate to have a friend like here, especially when it's traveling. I could have some great photos of me which I could make it as my new profile picture or post it to Instagram. Lol.

And... Like this too...

Is it great? Do you envy? Contact her. Lol

Chased the sunset was our last schedule on this trip. Close the day and open the night with the beautiful sunset was a great moment ever. Sometimes, something just like this was priceless and unforgettable. That's how life should be... After chased the sunset, we sailed back to our homestay and had a barbeque dinner. Every thing was so far so great on day 1. Let's go sailing again in the next post! :)

I was burnt

Besides of the great memories and experiences, that was what you would get after played for 6 hours. Burnt! You know what? Actually, my skin (fair skin) was as white as that sand's color before. Lol. I'm just kidding. But, I was totally burnt. Sunblock didn't kill it. :') Honestly, until now I'm still burnt and I just don't know how to make my actual skin back. Just FYI, I'm not good if I'm tanned. Not good! That's not really good! Aaaaaaaaaaa..........

A beauty little beach trace, blogs!

That's it, blogs! My day 1 Hopping Lampung's Islands. Hope this post will some information or ideas for you who want to take some holiday or spend your weekend time. And... Hope you enjoy it! See you in the next post with more excitement on day 2. Let's go sailing in the next post, blogs! Thank you...

To express my feeling and gratitude here is it my shot which is not less good as Anin's shot! See ya!
